Without the protection provided by the Second Amendment, all other rights afforded Americans are in jeopardy. I support a broader interpretation of the Second Amendment, instead of laws which continue to erode the ability of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms.
"A strong body makes a strong mind. As to the species of exercise, I advise the gun.
While this gives a moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise,
and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature,
are too violent for
the body, and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun,
therefore, be the constant companion of your walks."
* Thomas Jefferson, in a letter to his nephew, Peter Carr *
Paris, Aug 19, 1785
Jefferson made it quite clear his opinion of firearms and in this spirit, I would support the repeal of all gun laws infringing the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding Coloradans and will oppose all new gun laws.
I'm also a proud member of Rocky Mountain Gun Owners, Colorado's "no compromise" firearms lobby.
